Dilated Peoples gained a strong underground following and eventually signed with Capitol Records and released “The Platform” in 2000.
The trio released their sophomore album entitled “Expansion Team” which was released in 2001. The album debuted at number eight on the Billboard R&B Albums Chart as well as number thirty-six on the Billboard 200. They followed up with “Neighbourhood Watch” in 2004, which sold over 100,000 copies in the United States and debuting at number fifty-five on the Billboard 200. Dilated Peoples’ fourth studio album, “20/20” was released in 2006 led off by the single “Back Again.” The song was featured on the video game Fight Night Round 3 soundtrack and in 2012 they collaborated with Platinum Games. After fulfilling their four-album contract with Capitol Records, they started to work with the underground hip-hop group, Global Warning.
